Raw material selection and inspection
Strict selection of aluminum ingots suppliers: First of all, when purchasing aluminum ingots (the main raw material for industrial aluminum profiles), to choose reliable quality suppliers. High quality suppliers will use refining technology to provide higher purity aluminum ingots. For example, the purity of aluminum ingots produced by some large aluminum companies through the electrolytic aluminum process can reach more than 99.7%, which reduces the introduction of impurity elements from the source.
Raw material inspection process: In the aluminum profile production plant, the purchased aluminum ingots are strictly inspected. Using spectral analysis and other technologies, the content of various elements in aluminum ingots. For example, the use of direct reading spectrometer can quickly and accurately analyze the content of impurity elements such as iron, silicon, copper in aluminum ingots to ensure that they meet production requirements. If the content of impurity elements exceeds the standard, this batch of aluminum ingots cannot be put into production.
Smelting process control
Refining process: When smelting aluminum ingots, refining agents are used to remove impurities. For example, adding an appropriate amount of chlorine salt and fluorine salt refining agent in the melting furnace, these refining agents can chemically react with the impurity elements in the aluminum liquid to form a dense compound that precipitates to the bottom of the furnace. At the same time, through the gas stirring (such as the use of nitrogen or argon) can make the refining agent and the aluminum liquid contact, improve the impurity removal.
Temperature and time control: Melting temperature and time are also critical to the removal of impurity elements. The appropriate melting temperature can make the impurities react better with the refining agent, and is conducive to the floating or sinking of impurities. The melting temperature is more appropriate at about 700-750 ℃. In terms of time, it is necessary to ensure sufficient melting time, so that impurities have the opportunity to react with the refining agent, but not too long, so as not to increase energy consumption and the oxidation of liquid aluminum.

Alloying process management
Accurate addition of alloying elements: When adding alloying elements (such as magnesium, zinc, etc.) to liquid aluminum to manufacture industrial aluminum profiles of specific alloy series, the amount of addition should be strictly controlled. A high-precision dosing system is used to add alloying elements according to an accurate formula to avoid changes in the relative content of impurity elements due to excessive or inaccurate addition.
Prevent the introduction of impurities in alloying elements: When selecting the raw material of alloying elements, it is also necessary to ensure its purity. For example, when adding magnesium alloys, it is necessary to use magnesium ingots with high purity, because magnesium ingots with low purity may introduce more impurity elements such as iron and nickel. At the same time, the addition method and order of alloying elements are also very important, and it is necessary to add under the appropriate temperature and stirring conditions to ensure that the alloying elements are evenly integrated into the aluminum liquid, and no new impurities are introduced.
Casting and subsequent processing monitoring
Quality control in the casting process: when casting aluminum profiles, it is necessary to ensure the cleanliness of the casting environment. For example, avoid dust, oil and other impurities mixed with aluminum liquid. At the same time, the casting mold should be kept clean and rust free, because the iron element in the rust may enter the aluminum profile and become impurities.
Follow-up processing precautions: In the subsequent extrusion, processing and other processes, to prevent the pollution of external impurities. For example, the aluminum billet is cleaned before extrusion to remove oil and impurities from the surface. In the processing workshop, maintain a good environment to avoid metal chips, dust, etc. mixed into the aluminum profile material, so as to ensure that the content of impurity elements is always under control.
